Oktoberfest - Drei

Tuesday Mommy didn't feel much like going back to Oktoberfest, so thank goodness William's buddies decided Wednesday would be good day to visit to the Historic Wiesn: a section of Oktoberfest that takes you back to some of what original Wiesn looked like before it got inundated with electricity, roller coasters and, well, tourists.

Above Rachel, flanked by daughter Holly and buddy Tim, and Barbara with daughter Elle ride an old time Merry-Go-Round

William's first ride on a Merry-Go-Round -- He loved it!

With the Holly and Will napping in their strollers, Rachel and I decided to hop on a ride ourselves. We chose the one that goes in a circle super fast and over hills. (Did I describe that right? You know, like the snake ride at beach boardwalks?)

Anyway, it was 70 years old, made of wood, and cranked by hand by the lady above. They've spent the last seven years restoring it, and let me tell you, it is in tip top working condition. She really got it going! So fun!

An Italian, an American, a Brit, and three Münchener Kindls -- a true Oktoberfest represenation! at lunch in the beer garten.
What a fun day!

  1. Your outfits are just so amazing. It's not like you have many opportunities to wear them, but for the moment, fun, fun. You three international ladies look terrific.
